Accompanying high school students in Khanh Hoa province – UEH organizes the Meet & Greet sustainable career guidance program “Empowering the Next” and the “STEM 101 Innovation” Competition

Within the framework of the UEH Day event, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) in collaboration with Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted organized the Meet & Greet program “Empowering the Next” and the contest “Innovation with STEM 101”. The activities aim to spread the spirit of Glo-cal education and strengthen connections with the generation of talented and dynamic students in the South Central region. The series of programs not only provide sustainable career guidance experiences, but also inspire the exploration of STEM and programming through attractive and practical academic content for high school students in Khanh Hoa province.

With the theme “Empowering the Next”, UEH named high school students The Next – representatives of the next generation, who will contribute to shaping the future. By participating in the program, you will experience a sustainable career journey through the “Meet & Greet” event, and freely explore, learn and apply technology through the “Innovation with STEM 101” contest. Through this series of activities, UEH hopes to bring students a “miniature handbook” on innovation, education and sustainable development. From there, it will open up new, practical perspectives, helping you to be more confident in your journey of choosing a major and orienting a suitable career for the future. Greet & Meet “Empowering The Next”: Meet, admissions consulting – sustainable career orientation 5.0

Accompanying high school students on their journey of self-discovery and career orientation, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) organizes the Meet & Greet program with the theme “Empowering the Next” – an activity designed specifically for high school students in Khanh Hoa province.

At the program, students will have the opportunity to meet directly with UEH lecturers and experts, listen to specific advice on choosing a major and career that suits their abilities, personal interests as well as the development trends of society.

Greeting activity (14:30 – 15:00): Exhibition “Glo-cal Education training brand at UEH”

Contest “Innovation with STEM 101” with the theme Green Tech for Sustainable Future

“Innovation with STEM 101” is a competition for students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted to create a playground for applying knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to solve environmental problems and sustainable development at schools and localities.

Contestants will be trained in programming skills, design thinking and scientific project implementation. The results of the competition are practical application products that contribute to solving green challenges. This is part of UEH’s commitment to promoting sustainable education and community responsibility in the locality.

Contestants:

Grade 10 and 11 students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Khanh Hoa.
Number of teams: 30 teams, each team consists of 5 students
Requirements: Each team must have no more than 3 members in a class

Competition Timeline:

Workshop Training: July 28 and 29, 2025
Competition teams: From July 30 to August 18, 2025
Scoring and awarding: August 19, 2025

Training and competition content:

The competition focuses on training and practicing basic knowledge of Arduino programming, connecting electronic devices, signal processing and controlling peripheral devices. In addition, students are also guided on scientific research methods, data collection and processing. At the end of the training process, students are expected to be equipped with interdisciplinary thinking to develop scientific and technological application products to solve practical problems related to the environment and sustainable development.
